1. The first part of Goodwin's theory is how music videos demonstrate genre characteristics, for example a metal band doing a stage performance. Throughout the Show Me video, characteristics of the hip hop genre are frequently displayed; the first being showed is the sexual objectification of females, this is shown by the mise-en-scene, specifically the costume in the video, where the women are wearing revealing clothing, in particular short shorts and low cut tops.
2. The second part of Goodwin's theory is the relationship between the video and the lyrics of the song, and how they can be illustrative, amplifying or contradicting. I believe that this video is used to illustrate the lyrics of the song. An example of this is at 1:20, where the lyrics are "got a cup in your hand" and then a girl is shown dancing with a cup in her hand, therefore the video is illustrating what the lyrics have said. This is used to make the audience feel they are watching some kind of narrative, and can enjoy the video by linking the different lyrics in with it, making it more enjoyable for them as it is more engaging.
3. The third part of Goodwin's theory is relationship between the video and the music of the song, and whether its illustrative, amplifying or contradicting.
4. The fourth part of Goodwin's theory is how the demands of record labels that will include the needs for lots of close ups of artist and how the artist may develop motifs which re-occur across their work. During the video there are lots of close ups of the artist, proving Goodwin's theory, specifically at 2:20, however are used constantly throughout the video. This is used so that the viewer can build a relationship with the artist as it feels as if the artist is performing for them, therefore enjoying the video more than they normally would, this means that they will recommend it to friends and will help market the video, listening to any future releases.
5. The fifth part of Goodwin's theory is there is a frequently reference to the notion of looking. This is evident in the video at 1:10 where the scene is filmed at a POV camera angle, which suggests the notion of the looking as it shows the point of view of the camera man. This is used so the viewer can feel like they are in the video, making it more relate-able for the audience, making it more enjoyable as they can feel like they are in the video first hand and are watching the artist perform.

7. The last part of Goodwin's theory is whether the video is primarily performance based, narrative based, or concept based. I believe the video is mainly performance based as the artists are constantly performing throughout the video by singing into the camera, however there are parts of narrative in the video as they are talking about girls in the lyrics and they are shown to be with them, and dancing with one in particular.
